Shipping policy
SHIPPING POLICY — DM TELCO
This Shipping Policy forms part of, and is to be read together with, our Terms of Service. Capitalised terms have the meaning given in the Terms of Service. The terms "we", "us" and "our" refer to DM TELCO PTY LTD (ABN 18 693 415 780).
1. Delivery by third-party carriers
We dispatch orders from our warehouse at Pinkenba, Queensland. Deliveries are performed by third-party carriers and freight providers engaged by us. We choose the carrier for each order based on the size, weight and destination of the goods, unless we have agreed a specific carrier or freight arrangement with you in writing.
2. Delivery areas
We deliver to addresses within Australia. Deliveries to remote areas, islands or other locations with limited carrier coverage may take longer, cost more, or be unavailable for some items — we will contact you before dispatch if your order is affected. We do not currently ship internationally unless agreed with you in writing before you place your order.
3. Shipping costs
Shipping costs are calculated based on the size, weight and destination of your order and are shown at checkout (or quoted to you) before you complete your purchase. For bulky, long-length or palletised freight (for example, conduit, cable drums, strut lengths or tower steel), we may need to quote freight separately — if the shipping cost shown at checkout does not cover the actual freight required, we will contact you with a quote before dispatch, and you may cancel the order for a full refund if you do not wish to proceed.
4. Dispatch and delivery timeframes
We aim to dispatch orders for in-stock items within [1–2] business days of your order being accepted (and, for account orders, approved). Delivery timeframes then depend on the carrier and your location.
Any delivery dates or timeframes we give are genuine estimates made on the information available to us — they are not guaranteed delivery times. Once goods are with a carrier, the timing of delivery is under the carrier's control, and delays can occur due to carrier operations, weather, natural events or other circumstances outside our control. We will pass on tracking information where the carrier provides it so you can follow your delivery.
If your order is significantly delayed, contact us and we will follow it up with the carrier. If we become aware before dispatch that we cannot supply within a reasonable time, we will contact you, and you may choose to wait, change the order, or cancel for a full refund of amounts paid.
5. Stock availability and part deliveries
If an item in your order is unavailable or on back-order, we will contact you. We may, with your agreement, deliver your order in instalments as stock becomes available. Where we split an order at our own initiative, you will not be charged additional freight for the later instalments. Each instalment is a separate delivery, but this does not affect your rights in respect of the order as a whole.
6. Receiving your delivery
(a) Someone should be available to receive the goods. For most freight deliveries, the carrier will require access to the delivery address during business hours and, for palletised or heavy items, a location the vehicle can safely access with appropriate unloading facilities. Tell us about any site access constraints (for example, construction sites, induction requirements, height or weight limits) when you place your order.
(b) Authority to leave. If you ask us or the carrier to leave goods unattended at the delivery address, the goods are left at your risk and we are not responsible for loss or theft of goods after they have been left in accordance with your instructions. This does not affect your rights in respect of goods that were damaged or defective before delivery.
(c) Failed deliveries. If a delivery fails because no one was available to receive it, the address you gave us was incorrect or inaccessible, or site access was refused, the carrier may return the goods to us or to a depot. We may pass on to you the reasonable additional costs of redelivery, storage or return actually incurred as a result.
7. Damaged, missing or incorrect deliveries
Please inspect your goods on delivery, and where the packaging shows visible damage, note this with the carrier at the time of delivery if you can.
If your goods arrive damaged, if items are missing, or if you receive the wrong items, contact us at team@dmtelco.com.au within a reasonable time (we suggest within [5] business days of delivery, so we can raise the issue with the carrier while their claim windows are open) with your order number and photos of the goods and packaging. We will arrange a replacement, redelivery of missing or correct items, or a refund, as appropriate. You will not bear the cost of returning goods that were delivered damaged or in error.
Telling us promptly helps us resolve claims with carriers, but nothing in this clause limits or excludes your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, which apply regardless of when you notify us.
8. Risk and title
Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery to the delivery address (or, where you have given an authority to leave, when the goods are left in accordance with your instructions). Title in the goods passes in accordance with our Terms of Service — for orders placed on an approved trading account, title is retained by us until payment in accordance with Section 25 of the Terms of Service.
9. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law
Where you acquire goods from us as a consumer within the meaning of the Australian Consumer Law, our services (including delivery arranged by us) come with guarantees that cannot be excluded, including that services will be provided with due care and skill and within a reasonable time. Nothing in this Shipping Policy excludes, restricts or modifies those guarantees or any other right or remedy you have under law that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified.
10. Collection
[If you offer pickup:] You may choose to collect your order from our warehouse at Unit 3, 1368 Kingsford Smith Drive, Pinkenba QLD 4008 during business hours. We will notify you when your order is ready for collection. Please bring your order confirmation and photo identification. Risk in the goods passes to you on collection. [If you do not offer pickup, delete this section.]
11. Contact
Questions about shipping or an existing delivery should be sent to team@dmtelco.com.au or 1300 050 000, quoting your order number.
